As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the DNA of our user experience.

Your Role

As a Frontend Engineer at VectorShift, you will:

• Collaborate with Founders: Work directly with the founders to conceptualize and implement an exceptional user interface.
• Lead Frontend Architecture: Make key decisions to ensure the platform is scalable and maintainable.
• Optimize Web Performance: Drive forward web performance optimization to enhance user experience.
• Advocate for UI/UX Best Practices: Ensure users are at the heart of every design decision by implementing UI/UX best practices.
• Incorporate User Feedback: Continuously iterate and refine the platform based on user feedback.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest frontend technologies and integrate them where relevant.
• Establish Foundational Practices: Set up foundational frontend practices that will guide future team members.

What We’re Looking For

• Educational Background: Degree in a technical discipline, preferably computer science.
• Technical Skills: Experience with React/NextJS or similar frontend frameworks.
• Web Development Process: Familiarity with the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment.
• API Integration: Ability to integrate seamlessly with backend APIs.
• Source Control: Familiarity with source control tools, preferably Git.
• Responsive Design: In-depth knowledge of responsive design.
• UI/UX Design: A keen eye for user experience and UI design.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Problem Solving: Problem-solving aptitude and enthusiasm for overcoming challenges.

Nice to Have

• Startup Experience: Experience in early-stage startup environments.
• No/Low-Code Platforms: Experience with no/low-code platforms.
• Backend Frameworks: Familiarity with Python FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
