Frontend Engineer with React.js and Next.js

About the Job

As a Frontend Engineer at LandingAI, you will be responsible for developing and deploying scalable AI applications. By joining LandingAI, you will work with top-notch AI and Engineering teams to define and build powerful AI products, such as the LandingLens computer vision AI platform. Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Deploy Infrastructure and AI Services: You will design, build, and scale the required infrastructure for Machine Learning services and data management with a focus on high availability, stability, low latency, scalability, and security. In this role, you will work closely with our Machine Learning Engineers and Technical Product Managers to understand the client and development requirements. You will be immersed in a highly dynamic and agile development environment.

• Build and Deliver High-Quality AI Products: You will be responsible for building world-class web applications and services ensuring internal/external client satisfaction. This responsibility has two aspects: first, you will work closely with our Product Managers to understand and solve the clients’ real business and product needs; second, you will make sure both web computing products perform reliably with low latency.

• Build Internal Tooling Systems: Successful AI development is not only about the models used but also perfectly automatized pipelines. As a Software Development Engineer, you will boost our time-to-deployment by developing highly automated internal tools.

• Full Software Development Cycle: You will take responsibility for architecting, developing, deploying, monitoring/maintaining services that are owned by your team. You must keep a high standard on coding, testing, automation of deployment, and monitoring. You must always be willing to get your hands dirty on troubleshooting issues.

Required Skills and Experience

• Broad and solid CS foundation knowledge, including data structures & algorithms, OS, computer networks, databases, web development.
• 3+ years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency with JavaScript.
• Experience with building user interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience with frontend development and frameworks such as Next.js and React.js.
• Experience with end-to-end product development, comfortable both with early stages of development and with delivering complex solutions to production.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with web server frameworks such as Express.js or Koa.js.
• Experience with modern databases such as Postgres, ideally with popular JavaScript ORM as well, such as Sequelize.js or Prisma.js.
• Experience with computer vision, LLMs, LMMs.
• Experience with developer-facing products.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS technologies such as S3, EKS.
• Experience working with international teams.
