Role Overview
As a Frontend Software Engineer at HackerRank, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to "Accelerate the World’s Innovation". You will have the opportunity to impact the lives of millions of developers by building a platform that enables them to showcase their skills and secure employment. This role involves significant product and engineering ownership, and you will work closely with product designers and managers to enhance user experience and software quality.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product designers and managers to build and improve workflows and user experience for various personas including Interviewers, Candidates, Recruiters, and Hiring Managers.
- Develop uniform, pluggable software front-end components for use across the organization.
- Monitor and improve key web performance metrics regularly.
- Participate in establishing front-end engineering standards and code reviews to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with other engineers on cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving software quality and user experience.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, guiding them in their professional growth.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in JavaScript-based UI frameworks, with a strong preference for ReactJS.
- Proficiency in fundamental JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with frontend tooling like Webpack and babel.
- Hands-on experience in frontend debugging and testing.
- Knowledge of frontend security, browser environments, and multiscreen app development is desirable.
- Fullstack experience and exposure to TypeScript are considered a plus.
