Happening is seeking a talented Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia. As a key player in our Offer team, you will be instrumental in developing our back-office application, which is crucial for Superbet's Sportsbook. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies and contributing to the open-source community.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Product Development: Participate in all phases of product development, from ideation and planning to implementation and release.
- Technology Utilization: Work with technologies such as TypeScript, React, Redux, Next.js, Vite, AWS, Kubernetes, CodeFresh, and GitHub Actions.
- Open-Source Contribution: Dedicate time to contribute to the growing open-source community.
- Collaboration Tools: Use top-tier tools like Notion, Jira Cloud, GitHub, Zoom, and Slack for efficient collaboration.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Background: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience with a solid understanding of JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks, preferably React.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of TypeScript and familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux, MobX, Recoil, or Zustand.
- Design Systems: Experience using a design system, such as Ant Design.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality products.
- Best Practices: Knowledge of best practices, design patterns, and key principles of software development.
- Team Spirit: A collaborative spirit, as we believe we're stronger together.

- Industry Experience: Experience in the betting/gaming industry.
- Back-Office Applications: Experience developing back-office applications, such as dashboards and CRUD systems with complex data models.
- TypeScript Expertise: Being a TypeScript expert is a plus.
- React Knowledge: A deeper understanding of React, especially best practices around function components and hooks.
- Performance Optimization: Understanding performance optimization practices and techniques.
- High-Frequency Data: Experience creating applications with high-frequency, low-latency data changes.
