Full Stack Developer with React.js and Java
Overview
AXA XL is seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our Innovation, Data & Analytics team. This role is pivotal in developing, maintaining, and enhancing digital products and platforms that drive business benefits and market differentiation through innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Lead Developer, UX Designer, and Product Owner to inform UX designs and develop data & AI applications.
- Operate as a Full-Stack Developer for IDA applications, portals, and integrations.
- Engage in problem-solving discussions, code reviews, and pair programming with team members.
- Contribute to daily stand-ups and agile ceremonies to ensure team progress visibility.
- Extend existing back-end web application and infrastructure codebases, adhering to code standards.
- Ensure solutions are designed for performance across multiple platforms.
- Support technical design, target state software architectures, data mappings, and integration mechanisms.
- Analyze requirements, take ownership of development tasks, and ensure quality deliverables.
- Work as part of an Agile squad, ensuring delivery within tight timelines and high client satisfaction.
- Support engagement with GT governance forums, ensuring alignment with AXA architecture standards.
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced experience in Java, JavaScript, CSS, and React.js.
- Experience with Spring Boot microservice architecture.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Understanding and implementation of DevOps principles.
- Hands-on experience developing REST web services and APIs.
- Familiarity with version management tools like GitHub.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Excellent project management, time management, and communication skills.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
