The HCP Core Platform team is focused on delivering common, standardized capabilities enabling reliability, consistency, and faster time to delivery. Role Overview

As a Full Stack Engineer II on the HCP Core Platform team, you will be responsible for innovating and evolving our frontend tooling and ecosystem (in Ember) to make the experience of writing high-quality code as effortless and enjoyable as possible. You will support the applications you build by developing observability best practices and being a part of an on-call rotation. You will also build shared services primarily in Golang, create and manage their lifecycle with GitHub Action workflows and Terraform, and contribute to the design and implementation of large-scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Innovate and evolve frontend tooling and ecosystem using Ember.js.
• Develop observability best practices and participate in on-call rotations.
• Build shared services primarily in Golang.
• Create and manage lifecycle with GitHub Action workflows and Terraform.
• Contribute to the design and implementation of large-scale systems.
• Work with multiple cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Work with HashiCorp products such as Terraform, Consul, Vault, and Nomad.
• Interface directly with internal teams, users, and HashiCorp customers.
• Collaborate and learn remotely with your fellow team of committed engineers.
• Own the full lifecycle of feature development from design through testing and release.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Golang, Java, or Python preferred).
• Experience with modern browser-based development (JavaScript/ES7, HTML, CSS).
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript tooling such as Webpack, Storybook, React, Angular, Ember.
• Familiarity with micro-service and single-page architectures.
• Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines, accessibility tools, and assistive technologies.
• Experience with high-performance or distributed cloud microservices architectures.
• Ability to discuss performance, security, and user interactions in complex systems.
• Pragmatic, methodical, well-organized, detail-oriented, and self-starting.
• Creative thinker who puts the team and business first.
• Constant desire to grow, learn, and explore new things.

Salary

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is $151,300—$178,000 USD. Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.
