Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack React Native App Developer to join our team as the first engineering hire. This is a unique opportunity to refine and build upon an existing app MVP for BOOPER™, a community-focused brand dedicated to making kindness simpler. Our app helps dog owners discover dog parks, connect with friends, and plan playdates.
Key Responsibilities
- App Development: Develop and enhance the BOOPER™ app using React Native for both iOS and Android platforms.
- API Integration: Implement and manage APIs to support app functionalities such as social logins, sharing features, chatting, and map integrations.
- Backend Development: Work on the backend hosted on AWS, utilizing Python and Django.
- Feature Implementation: Develop features for social interactions, including chat, maps, and social sharing.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the founding team to align app development with business goals.
Requirements
- Experience: 5-7 years of startup engineering experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in React Native, TypeScript, and Django.
- Platform Knowledge: Experience with iOS and Android app development.
- API Expertise: Extensive experience in building and implementing APIs.
- Tools: Familiarity with AWS, Twilio, Firebase, Google Analytics, and Google Maps API.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, fast learner, and critical thinker.
