Fullstack Java Developer
Overview
Orion Innovation is seeking a skilled Fullstack Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. As a Fullstack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient web applications using Java and related technologies. You will work on both the front-end and back-end, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement Applications: Develop scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
- Back-End Development: Build and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA with Hibernate.
- Front-End Development: Develop, test, and deploy front-end features using JavaScript frameworks such as React.js and Redux.js.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Create and maintain unit test cases using Mockito and Jest.
- Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs.
- Lifecycle Participation: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer or similar role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JPA with Hibernate, and JavaScript frameworks like React.js and Redux.js.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- API Development: Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud solutions like PCF, AWS, or Azure.
- Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Agile Environment: Ability to work in an agile development environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with OpenShift or ARO.
- Knowledge of Play framework and Yugabyte.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps activities, including Jenkins pipelines and integrated code scans.
