Overview

Orion Innovation is seeking a skilled Fullstack Java Developer to join our dynamic team in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. As a Fullstack Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient web applications using Java and related technologies. You will work on both the front-end and back-end, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implement Applications: Develop scalable web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Back-End Development: Build and maintain back-end services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and JPA with Hibernate.
• Front-End Development: Develop, test, and deploy front-end features using JavaScript frameworks such as React.js and Redux.js.
• Testing and Quality Assurance: Create and maintain unit test cases using Mockito and Jest.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs.
• Lifecycle Participation: Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of emerging trends and technologies in software development.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer or similar role.
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, JPA with Hibernate, and JavaScript frameworks like React.js and Redux.js.
• Database Knowledge: Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• API Development: Understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud solutions like PCF, AWS, or Azure.
• Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Agile Environment: Ability to work in an agile development environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with OpenShift or ARO.
• Knowledge of Play framework and Yugabyte.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps activities, including Jenkins pipelines and integrated code scans.
