Senior Enterprise Architect

Orion Innovation is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to join our software development organization. This role involves modernizing the design and development of client's flagship products and managing software and architectural design discussions. You will collaborate with developers to implement requirements into code, drive product architects for system integrations and feasibility studies, and solve complex software topics.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on design and development of microservices cloud platform roadmap.
- Partner with product owners to provide technical insight and guidance into the product roadmap.
- Establish software design approaches, standards, and oversee product adherence to best practices.
- Promote awareness of microservices-based architecture, promoting modern and mature practices.
- Prepare and review technical designs, code reviews, and ensure delivery of high-quality architecture.
- Partner with scrum teams to promote DevOps culture, driving improvements through CI/CD processes.
- Configure and document software, hardware, and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives.
- Share knowledge of the latest software development trends in software cloud automation, techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Assess risks based on product complexity, resource, and/or timeline constraints.
- Mentor technical staff during projects to ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 10 years of software development experience.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in Java Development.
- Proficiency in Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Security, etc.).
- Experience with administering & consuming cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Knowledge of Restful APIs, API gateways, preferably Apogee.
- Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integrations and delivery concepts, experience with GitLab, Jenkins, and/or Concourse CI.
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF or SEI – Software Architecture Certification.
- Experience in building distributed, service-oriented, microservices-style and cloud-based application architectures.
- Experience with automation testing, mock frameworks, virtual services, and performance testing.
- Containerization with applications deployed on Docker or Kubernetes.
- Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions.
