Internship Opportunity: Technical Program Manager - Vehicle Software
What To Expect
This internship position is expected to start in January and continue through April/May. Internships are in-person for 40 hours a week for a minimum of 12 weeks. International students should consult their school regarding work authorization through CPT before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week, although some students may be limited to part-time depending on their academic standing.

About The Team
Tesla’s Vehicle Software Release Management team is looking for an intern who is passionate about driving the world’s transition to a sustainable future. We are hiring highly motivated candidates for the position of Technical Program Manager Intern. Internship roles in our teams provide significant independence and ownership of projects, while still providing excellent mentorship and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and communicate software release target timelines to stakeholders.
- Coordinate end-to-end the software release sign-off process ensuring on-time software launches.
- Manage and communicate scope, schedule, and launch changes smoothly while ensuring continuous communication to leadership, stakeholders, and team members.
- Manage and communicate cross-functional deliverables required for timely software launches.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Computer Engineering, or related field of study with a graduation date between 2025-2026.
- Prior experience in technical program management, software release management, or managing consumer electronics software programs is ideal.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or software release processes.
- Ability to work with agility in a fast-paced environment while managing conflicting priorities and achieving tight launch schedules.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Prior experience with software development and program management tools (e.g., JIRA, GIT/Stash, Confluence) is preferred but not required.

Expected Compensation
- $30.05 - $42.07/hour, depending on level and experience.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
