Job Overview
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer specializing in server-side and backend software to join our team in Palo Alto, California. As part of our mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, you will be working on delivering new features and improvements to our customers through our mobile applications, which allow real-time, low-latency two-way communication with Tesla products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software systems: You will be responsible for creating systems for ingesting, querying, and processing data.
- Collaborate with colleagues: Participate in design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
- Develop deployment solutions: Create means for deploying, scaling, and monitoring software systems.
- Problem-solving: Address complex issues related to scalability, reliability, performance, and security of the software.
- Project ownership: Take charge of projects and consistently seek ways to improve efficiency and operations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages: Experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, or Go.
- Database expertise: Strong understanding of database design and modeling, including SQL and Postgres.
- Scalable systems: Experience in building scalable systems and understanding of automated testing, deployment processes, and tools.
- Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Restful services: Experience in building Restful services.
- Passion for clean code: A strong desire to write clean code and create world-class software.

Compensation
The expected annual salary for this position ranges from €104,000 to €348,000, plus cash and stock awards. The total compensation package may vary based on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
