Junior Software Developer
Location: Verona, Italy
BLM GROUP is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join our team in Verona. This role is focused on developing proprietary software products that are integral to the operation and automation of our machinery and systems. As a Junior Software Developer, you will be involved in the design, development, and documentation of software solutions that enhance the performance and functionality of our industrial automation systems.
Responsibilities
- Support the development of software solutions, platforms, and services for the industrial sector, specifically in machinery manufacturing.
- Document the reliability of software applications aimed at adding functionalities and improving the performance of automation systems and robotic cells.
- Contribute to the knowledge transfer of developed solutions to other company areas.
Activities
- Design software for programming and controlling industrial systems, aligning with Industry 5.0 standards.
- Apply protocols for verifying and drafting procedures for formalizing programmed code, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with objectives.
- Participate in knowledge transfer meetings within the software development team and with other company areas involved in new functionalities.
- Prepare documentation for the dissemination of software solutions to clients.
Essential Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent (e.g., Experimental Physics).
- Proficiency in Visual Studio and the .NET platform.
- Experience in designing multilingual graphical interfaces in WPF/HTML5.
- Proficiency in English (approximately B2 level).
- Strong communication skills and openness to collaboration to facilitate information transfer within the team and across company areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic experience in object-oriented programming in C/C++ and C#, preferably in a technical-scientific context.
- Knowledge of 3D graphics, simulation, solid modeling, and robotics.
- Experience in developing algorithms for computational geometry, operations research, and optimization.
- Basic experience in developing relational databases and respective .NET frameworks.
- Familiarity with MES and ERP systems.
- Knowledge of programming languages for industrial robots.
- Experience with version control tools (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
