Junior Application Developer

Job Overview

Holland & Hart LLP is seeking a Junior Application Developer to join our team in Boulder, Colorado. This role involves assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of custom applications for the firm. The successful candidate will work closely with end users and the development manager to gain practical experience and contribute to projects that meet the firm's high standards for quality and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with End Users: Work with end users to understand their business needs and provide recommendations on leveraging supported technologies for customized solutions.
• Technology Identification: Identify and explain available technologies for end users, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages.
• Technical Support: Assist in diagnosing and fixing technical support problems impacting custom applications and workflows.
• Integration Development: Develop and maintain integrations between SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and other enterprise systems.
• Application Development: Assist in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining custom applications using C#, .NET, Blazor, Graph API, and other tools.
• Documentation and Training: Develop technical and end user documentation; provide training for end users as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials in a business-related, technical, or scientific discipline.
• Experience: 0-2 years professional experience in client-oriented roles, preferably in product development or legal service delivery.
• Programming Skills: 0-2 years of experience in software programming (e.g., C#, HTML, SQL, etc.) in either a professional or academic-research environment.
• Software Development: Solid foundation in software development best practices.
• Familiarity with Technologies: Familiarity with basic software development processes and technologies including version control, networking, web applications, databases, and cloud services.
• Preferred Experience: Familiarity with .NET C# web development and Agile principles, values, and practices is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to manipulate (lift, carry, move) weights of at least ten (10) pounds.
• Repetitive wrist/hand/finger movement to work on a computer and/or related office equipment.
• Ability to speak clearly and concisely so listeners can understand.
• Ability to regularly understand the speech of another person.

Work Environment

• Professional office atmosphere.
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
• Position may require occasional off-hour meetings and events.

Salary

• Colorado Salary Range: €64,236 - €107,060 per year.
• A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
