Snap Inc. is seeking a talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in New York, NY. As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing models that drive value for our users, advertisers, and the company. You will be part of a team that builds fun and technically sophisticated products that reach millions of Snapchatters around the world every day.
What You’ll Do:
- Create Models: Develop and implement machine learning models to enhance user experience and drive business value.
- Evaluate Technical Tradeoffs: Analyze and make decisions on the technical tradeoffs of various approaches.
- Code Review: Perform code reviews to ensure high-quality code and best practices.
- Build Scalable Products: Design and build robust, scalable, and maintainable products.
- Iterate Quickly: Work in a fast-paced environment, iterating quickly without compromising quality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in open and ambiguous situations.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of industry experience in machine learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, or Scikit-Learn.
- Experience with machine learning infrastructures and system design.
