Responsibilities

• Model Development: Create and optimize machine learning models to drive value for users, advertisers, and the company.
• Technical Evaluation: Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision to ensure the best outcomes.
• Code Quality: Perform code reviews and maintain exceptional code quality.
• Product Development: Build robust, scalable, and lasting products that meet the needs of our users.
• Rapid Iteration: Iterate quickly on product features without compromising quality.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in open and ambiguous situations.
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of industry experience in machine learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position in Los Angeles, California is $114,000 to $171,000 annually. The starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
