Responsibilities
- Model Development: Create and optimize machine learning models to drive value for users, advertisers, and the company.
- Technical Evaluation: Evaluate the technical tradeoffs of every decision to ensure the best outcomes.
- Code Quality: Perform code reviews and maintain exceptional code quality.
- Product Development: Build robust, scalable, and lasting products that meet the needs of our users.
- Rapid Iteration: Iterate quickly on product features without compromising quality.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of machine learning approaches and algorithms.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in open and ambiguous situations.
- Strong collaboration and mentorship skills.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, mathematics, or statistics, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of industry experience in machine learning.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with machine learning, ranking infrastructures, and system design.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position in Los Angeles, California is $114,000 to $171,000 annually. The starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
