Snap Inc. is seeking a talented Data Scientist with over 3 years of experience to join our dynamic team in New York, United States. As a Data Scientist at Snap, you will play a crucial role in driving informed and timely decision-making that enhances our products and optimizes their adoption.
What You'll Do
- Quantitative Analysis: Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling to deliver impactful, objective, and actionable data insights.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, product marketers, and designers to drive product decisions.
- Data Modeling: Use data modeling skills to identify key product trends and new opportunities.
- Performance Analysis: Design, implement, and track core metrics to analyze product performance.
- Visualization: Build visuals, dashboards, and reports to effectively communicate insights.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency in data modeling and statistical analysis.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong skills in building dashboards and reports.
- Initiative to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
- Understanding of Snapchat with excellent product sense.
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/BA degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quantitative analysis and data science.
- Proficiency in SQL or similar big data querying languages.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with applied statistical techniques, including A/B testing and statistical modeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, economics, or a related field.
- Experience in a product-focused role at a social media or mobile technology company.
- Experience using machine learning and statistical analysis for data-driven product solutions.
