Job Overview
As the Mobile Tech Lead at Square, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge mobile solutions for our Orders & Fulfillment team. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of omnichannel commerce by leading the development of our Order Manager platform, which integrates all sales channels into a single, manageable interface.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Guidance: Lead a team of iOS and Android engineers, setting high standards for code quality and engineering practices. Inspire and mentor your team to achieve excellence.
- Technical Strategy: Develop and maintain a robust technical strategy that aligns with the company's goals. Collaborate with other leaders to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to product development.
- Hands-on Development: Occasionally dive into code yourself to help the team meet critical deadlines or solve complex problems.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver a seamless user experience.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on native mobile development for iOS and Android.
- Proven leadership skills and experience guiding large teams through complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
Technologies We Use
- Kotlin and Swift for mobile development.
- Gradle for build environments.
- Familiarity with Square's open source libraries such as Workflow, Blueprint, and OkHttp is beneficial.
