Product Developer with Java SE and REST API Experience

Role Overview

As a Product Developer at Aptean, you will play a crucial role in implementing new software solutions for our clients. Your technical expertise in the Objective product will be essential in ensuring smooth and successful software implementations. You will be responsible for programming, testing, and maintaining software information systems based on the Aptean/Objective platform, utilizing an Agile software development methodology.

Key Responsibilities

Programming and Development: Engage in programming using Java SE, focusing on software implementation projects for our clients. You will translate technical specifications into code, document the code, and ensure its proper functioning through rigorous testing.
Integration: Integrate our software with ERP systems, hardware, or other third-party systems using REST APIs, RabbitMQ, and similar technologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders and functional consultants to gather requirements, analyze user needs, and translate them into technical specifications and software designs.
Support and Troubleshooting: Assist functional consultants with the installation and commissioning of the software at client sites. Investigate and resolve issues reported by customers.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, ICT, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Java SE and experience with REST APIs, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
Experience with version control systems like Git and development tools such as IntelliJ and Azure DevOps.
Fluency in Dutch and English.
Experience in production and logistics environments is a plus.
Familiarity with Node-RED, CI/CD tools like JUnit and Jenkins, and containerized applications on Linux-based systems using Docker is advantageous.
