Introduction
IBM is seeking skilled back-end developers to join our software team in Lisbon. This role involves developing and maintaining high-quality software products, focusing on robust data governance solutions. You will play a crucial role in enhancing IBM® Manta Data Lineage by increasing transparency in data pipelines across models and systems.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features and optimize existing code to ensure high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps, and product managers to meet user needs.
- Engage in continuous integration and source code management using tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
- Support debugging and handling customer issues in target environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, J2EE, and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with building RESTful APIs and modern containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in a corporate software development environment.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, BI tools, ETL tools, and data governance solutions is advantageous.
