Job Overview
Adhese is seeking a Senior Back-End Developer to join our Technology team in Ghent. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust back-end infrastructure of our cutting-edge AdTech platform. This position requires a deep understanding of Java, Spring, and microservices architecture.
Key Responsibilities
System Architecture and Development
- Design, develop, and maintain the back-end architecture of our platform.
- Deliver high-performance, maintainable, scalable, and reliable code.
Database Management
- Optimize database structures and queries for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Work with large datasets and implement performant data storage solutions.
Performance and Integration
- Implement performance optimization techniques to ensure optimal platform speed and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with Front-end Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues across Technology, Product, and Support domains to exchange knowledge and deliver high-quality software solutions.
Security and Compliance
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect against data breaches and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Code Quality and Testing
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to conduct thorough testing of back-end components.
Documentation
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for back-end code.
Agility
- Follow agile and lean ways of working with a focus on continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Senior level experience as a Back-End Developer focused on high-performance web applications.
- Proficiency in Java, SQL/ORM mappings, and Spring.
- Familiarity with security, testing best practices, system monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Experience with deployment technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms like Azure.
- Familiarity with tools like REDIS, GITHUB, REST, KAFKA, and the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence).
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work from our offices (hybrid) two full days per week.
