About the Role

Amazon is seeking passionate and driven individuals for our Quality Assurance Engineer Summer Internship in 2025. This internship is a full-time position located in Seattle, WA, and is designed for students who are eager to gain hands-on experience in quality assurance engineering. As an intern, you will work up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern, you will:

• Use your technical knowledge to create, execute, and maintain software test plans and automation for various product components and features.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts, make configuration changes, and modify or extend test cases to accommodate feature releases.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and isolate bugs to assist developers in researching the root cause of defects.
• Analyze change requests and provide recommendations on how changes might impact test scope and product behavior.

During your internship, you will engage in hands-on learning and building experiences. You will work on impactful projects and have the opportunity to interact with Amazonians for both personal and professional development. You will expand your network and participate in fun activities with other interns throughout the summer.

Basic Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in software-testing techniques such as equivalence class partitioning and the software testing life cycle.
• Familiarity with technologies like Selenium, Junit, TestNG, and other open-source tools.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, or Perl.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, with an expected graduation date between October 2025 and December 2028.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance engineering and automation testing.
• Enrolled in a Master’s Degree or advanced technical degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline.
• Previous technical internship experience, if applicable.
• Experience with core software-testing techniques: equivalence class partitioning, boundary value testing, verifying each requirement, and state transition.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $36.39/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $88.03/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package.
