Job Overview
Rakuten Kobo Inc. is seeking a skilled React Native Developer for a 6-month contract position based in Darmstadt, Germany. This role involves working on the Tolino Reading and Listening cross-platform application, collaborating with an international team of developers to deliver high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Debug and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks, crashes, and other bugs.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing mobile applications using React Native.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end development tools.
- Familiarity with native build tools, like Xcode, Android Studio, and Gradle.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services.
- Understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of state management libraries, such as Redux or MobX.
- Experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
