About the Role
As a Security Software Engineering Intern at Robinhood, you will join the Business Product Security team. This team is responsible for providing authentication services and libraries that power Robinhood’s end-user authentication. Your role will involve building tools and services that secure the platform and protect users from various security threats such as account takeover and phishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop tools and services to enhance platform security and user protection.
- Build microservices for core infrastructure, including authentication, authorization, and cryptography.
- Design and engineer cloud-native security services and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across backend engineering, security, and data science to build a user trust and safety product.
- Identify and fix security bugs and build intelligence tools to predict and prevent potential attacks.
What You Bring
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date in Winter 2025/Spring 2026.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Familiarity with SQL and SQL-like databases.
- Experience with AWS or other cloud systems.
- Experience in building standalone APIs that can be consumed by various types of clients.
