Senior Android Developer (Global Expansion)

About the Role

Join SumUp as a Senior Android Developer in our Global Expansion tribe, where you will be part of a cross-functional team of over 40 talented individuals. Your primary role will be to adapt and enhance the SumUp app for new markets, ensuring it meets local regulatory requirements and provides an optimal user experience.

What You'll Do

• Work as part of a cross-functional squad responsible for SumUp's expansion into new markets.
• Adapt the SumUp Super App to meet the regulatory requirements for financial institutions in new countries/regions.
• Help with the automated localisation of mobile apps, including adapting the UI to support other languages.
• Develop new features in our Super App that offer a better experience to our merchants and ensure better product-market fit.
• Develop and maintain a new build of our app to run on third-party Android-powered devices.

Who You Are

• You have extensive experience in Android development using Kotlin and are able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
• You have an interest in learning to develop features for our iOS application or already have some experience with Swift.
• Modularised architecture is one of your strength areas.
• It excites you to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, building bridges across the organisation.
• Making an impact on others’ careers through mentoring is something you’re truly passionate about.
