Join Our Global Expansion Team as a Senior Android Developer

SumUp is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Android Developer to join our Global Expansion tribe. This cross-functional team of over 40 professionals is dedicated to bringing SumUp's innovative financial solutions to new markets worldwide. As part of the Expansion Platform & Experiences (EP&E) squad, your mission will be to accelerate SumUp’s success by reducing time to market and adapting our products to provide our merchants with the right experiences within their local context.

Your Role

As a Senior Android Developer, you will:

• Work as part of a cross-functional squad responsible for the expansion of SumUp into new markets.
• Contribute to the launch of SumUp in these markets by adapting our Super App to meet the regulatory requirements for financial institutions in new countries/regions.
• Help with the automated localisation for both mobile apps, including adapting the UI to support other languages (right-to-left, etc.).
• Develop new features in our Super App that offer a better experience to our merchants and ensure better product-market fit.
• Develop and maintain a new build of our app to run on third-party Android-powered devices.

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive experience in Android development using Kotlin.
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy.
• Interest in learning to develop features for our iOS application or existing experience with Swift.
• Strength in modularised architecture.
• Excitement to collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders, building bridges across the organisation.
• Passion for mentoring and making an impact on others’ careers.
