Expleo Group is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Nenagh. As a Senior Android Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance Android applications. This position requires a strong understanding of Android development, Kotlin, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate Requirements into Code: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop High-Quality Android Applications: Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code for the Android platform.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with cross-functional teams to ship new features and ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Integrate with APIs: Work with outside data sources and APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Ensure Code Quality: Conduct unit tests for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Maintain Code Organization: Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

• Android Design Principles: Understand Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
• Kotlin Expertise: Proven knowledge of Kotlin and Android app development.
• Test Driven Development: Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and practical experience.
• Version Control and CI/CD: Knowledge of SVN/Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Confluence, JIRA, and Continuous Integration/Deployment principles.
• RESTful APIs: Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Team Collaboration: Practical experience working in a team of developers.
