Are you a seasoned backend developer with a passion for creating robust and scalable solutions? Corpay is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Rome, Italy. As a key member of our engineering department, you will work on cutting-edge projects that drive the future of commercial payments.
Your Role
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be part of a talented team of developers working across Corpay’s technology stack. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Developing and maintaining backend services using C# and .NET, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements.
- Troubleshooting and debugging complex software issues, employing methodical diagnostic skills to resolve issues and restore service.
- Working with relational database management systems such as MySQL or MSSQL to design and optimize database solutions.
- Creating and maintaining REST APIs to support our applications and services.
- Engaging in asynchronous programming and utilizing message brokers for high-volume data processing.
- Participating in agile development processes, contributing to SCRUM meetings and sprints.
What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on C# and .NET.
- In-depth knowledge of .NET, with experience in .NET 7 being a plus.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining REST APIs and familiarity with asynchronous programming.
- Experience with message brokers for data processing and integration.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable working remotely and communicating via tools such as Zoom.
Bonus Points
- Experience with SaaS systems and startup environments.
- Familiarity with GraphQL, Hangfire, and Aurora (MySQL).
- Experience working on card products.
