Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with extensive experience in C#/.NET Core to join our dynamic team. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United States. You will be responsible for designing and architecting microservices to deliver high-performing, scalable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and Architect Microservices: Develop high-volume, low-latency backend services using C#/.NET Core.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with product management and business teams to understand client needs and iterate quickly to improve backend services.
- Explore New Technologies: Continuously explore new technologies and approaches to enhance backend products, especially as we transition towards cloud-based deployments using containers.
- Ensure Best Practices: Maintain code quality, security, and maintainability by fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Contribute to Product Discussions: Work closely with product teams to develop new ideas, create designs, and plan feature roadmaps.
- Leverage Modern Technologies: Use modern backend technologies to solve complex business problems effectively.
- Conduct Code Reviews: Maintain programming standards through thorough code reviews and automated tools.
- Mentor Junior Developers: Guide junior developers in the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of backend software deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 7+ years of professional backend software development experience with a focus on C#/.NET Core and microservices.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Microservices, APIs, BFF (Backend for Frontend), and Event-Driven Architecture design and implementation.
- Database Experience: Experience working with relational databases and SQL.
- Design Principles: Deep understanding of backend design principles for security, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile software development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to collaborate with product management and technical teams.
- Cloud Solutions: Experience building cloud-based solutions, preferably using Azure.
- Preferred Experience: Experience working with life sciences and/or healthcare-related data is a plus.
