Job Description
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Mentimeter, you will be a key member of one of our cross-functional product teams. You will be responsible for implementing designs and user experiences that impact millions of users worldwide. Your role will involve balancing discovery and implementation work, developing new customer-facing features, and managing technical debt and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers and developers to build fast, intuitive, and high-performing user interfaces using modern technologies.
- Influence the choice of tools, programming languages, and technologies to ensure a smooth software pipeline for continuous and fast delivery.
- Work on scalable architecture and contribute to building great products with a focus on code quality, testing, and automation.
Who You Are
- A reliable, high-performing individual contributor with at least 5 years of commercial experience in Ruby or similar languages such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
- Experience as a Tech Lead or similar role is a plus.
- Motivated by a short feedback loop and the ability to see the impact of your work on end-users.
- Flexible and adaptable to change, with a passion for software development and scalable architecture.
- A great communicator who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team.
