We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Platform team at Mentimeter. This team is responsible for enabling product teams by providing a highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure platform. You will play a crucial role in shaping our platform and empowering our product teams to run their code efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the engineering department's success.
- Address scalability and reliability challenges in AWS.
- Build and iterate on a robust monitoring system for production systems.
- Manage incidents and conduct post-mortems to prevent future occurrences.
- Solve platform issues and plan for future growth to support the company's expansion.
Technologies You Will Work With
- AWS: Extensive use for cloud infrastructure.
- Terraform: For infrastructure as code, promoting best practices and efficiency.
- Ruby and Typescript: For various development tasks.
- Cloudflare and Datadog: For security and monitoring.
Who You Are
- Experienced as a software developer with an interest in platform engineering.
- Proficient in cloud architectures, specifically AWS.
- Skilled in Terraform for infrastructure as code.
- Interested in reliability, observability, and improving engineering experiences.
- A good communicator and team player, interested in working in an international environment.
