About the Role
At Cameo, we make impossible connections possible. Our platform allows fans to get personalized messages from their favorite comedians, actors, athletes, and more. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in improving and scaling the platform that connects fans and talent to create the perfect video shoutout. You will also contribute to our website and mobile app development.
Key Responsibilities
- Work across our backend systems using Node.js and MongoDB.
- Collaborate with sales and data teams to enhance the talent experience.
- Build robust and performant REST APIs.
- Scale our website and mobile app to support millions of users.
- Ensure the platform is engaging and fun for users.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience with backend JavaScript (Node.js, Express, etc.).
- Experience with JS testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, and Appium.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Proven experience in building and scaling web applications.
- Strong product sense and pride in your work.
- Ability to work in a fun and dynamic environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
