Senior Full Stack Engineer (JavaScript, Node.js, React)

About the Role

Cameo is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chicago. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and scaling our platform that connects fans with their favorite celebrities through personalized video messages. This position offers the opportunity to work on both our website and mobile app, utilizing a range of technologies to deliver a seamless and engaging user experience.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and data, to enhance the talent experience on our platform.
Develop and maintain our frontend applications using React and Redux, and our mobile app using React Native.
Build and optimize backend services using Node.js and Express, ensuring robust and performant REST APIs.
Work with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, to manage and scale data effectively.
Implement testing strategies using tools like Jest, Enzyme, and Appium to ensure high-quality code.
Contribute to the scaling of our platform to support millions of users, focusing on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience with front-end JavaScript frameworks, particularly React.
5+ years of experience with back-end JavaScript, including Node.js and Express.
Strong understanding of NoSQL databases, especially MongoDB.
Proven experience in building and scaling web applications and mobile apps.
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, and Appium.
Experience in the social media or video technology industry is a plus.
Strong product sense and a passion for creating engaging user experiences.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
