Senior Full Stack Software Engineer
Viam is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in New York, NY. As a senior engineer in our web app organization, you will play a crucial role in building cloud-based functionality to enable remote configuration, control, management, and operation of a fleet of robots. This position requires a deep understanding of both backend and frontend technologies, as well as a passion for mentoring and collaborating with other engineers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain cloud-based applications for managing a fleet of robots.
- Write and review code, ensuring high-quality standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
- Manage concurrent background job execution and user management flows.
- Implement communication protocols for system architecture.
- Display smart machine configuration and connectivity status on the Viam website.
Requirements
- Proven experience in both backend and frontend development.
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) and experience with MongoDB and Linux.
- Familiarity with Svelte and web application development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience with distributed systems and scalable web application design.
- Comfortable with in-office work and occasional remote collaboration.
