Magic Eden is a leading multi-chain NFT platform, pushing boundaries on Solana, Ethereum, Polygon, and Bitcoin. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, building new services to meet critical product and business needs.
Responsibilities
- Build New Services: Develop new backend services using Node.js to meet critical product and business needs.
- Design Scalable Systems: Create scalable systems to solve novel problems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
- Vision and Roadmap: Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and the teams running them. Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
- Code Quality: Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
Who You Are
- Experienced: You have at least 6+ years of experience in software engineering, having designed, built, scaled, and maintained production services.
- Service-Oriented Architecture: You know how to compose a service-oriented architecture.
- Passionate: You are passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with rapid growth in a company (from startup to mid-size).
- Experience with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks.
- Experience with Blockchain technology (such as Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
- Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
- Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
