Job Description
Overview
MongoDB is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in the MERN Stack to join our Tools team in Barcelona. This role involves developing and maintaining applications that streamline support processes and expedite case resolution. You will focus on creating web applications and dashboards for the Customer Engineering organization and MongoDB's customers.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, testing, and deployment.
- Develop scalable and modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Work closely with the Customer Engineering team to tailor applications to their needs.
- Contribute to the technical architecture of feature development and enhancement of our tech stack.
- Engage in continuous integration and deployment processes.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in building scalable web applications, with at least 2 years using React and TypeScript.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Node.js and an API framework (Express, Fastify, Next.js), understanding of data structures, data modeling, and database schema.
- Software Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, software containerization, and testing practices.
- Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Python and understanding of the Salesforce data model.
Success Measures
- 3 Months: Gain a deep understanding of the Tools team ecosystem and build and deployment workflows.
- 6 Months: Contribute to projects, including deploying code to production and resolving bugs.
- 9 Months: Contribute to the technical architecture of feature development.
Interview Process
- Preliminary screenings followed by a live coding assessment to evaluate technical proficiencies.
