Job Overview
Amazon Games is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Global Media and Entertainment (GME) Finance team. This role is pivotal in building and operating systems that provide financial reporting and operational analytic capabilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and building the data infrastructure for automated and scalable platforms to support the reporting and forecasting requirements of GME finance teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and develop end-to-end scalable data applications and data pipelines.
- Design and build data reporting solutions across different visualization platforms (e.g., Quicksight).
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data handling, reporting, dashboards, data analyses, and model development.
- Collaborate with multiple finance, technology, product, and business teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
- Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases).
- Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from €108,000 to €187,000 per year, based on location and experience.
