About the Role
As a Senior Data Engineer at Futurice, you will dive deep into clients’ data, designing, building, automating, and operating data platforms and data pipelines. Your role involves automating infrastructure, monitoring, and recovery routines, focusing on solving problems and interacting with various types of data and people. You will work closely with data scientists, software developers, and designers, engaging in projects across different domains and business cases.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
- Develop and orchestrate data pipelines using tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Collaborate with team members and clients to deliver data-driven solutions.
- Support sales and consulting efforts with a strong understanding of data architectures.
- Ensure transparency and trust within the team through agile methodologies.
Skills and Experience
- Strong experience with AWS (e.g., RedShift, Glue, Athena) or Azure (e.g., Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).
- Proficient in managing serverless computations, using CI tools, and Terraform.
- Excellent knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Practical experience in programming with Python or Java.
- Fluent in Finnish and English, with excellent communication skills.
