About the Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Foxglove, you will play a crucial role in driving our product's frontend development. You will be responsible for high-performance frontend engineering, essential to our product and our success. Our product, primarily written in TypeScript and React, includes both browser and desktop (Electron) applications.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-end ownership over features, working directly with customers and the community to understand requirements.
- Collaborate with our design team to deliver polished and delightful experiences.
- Expand your knowledge in the robotics and self-driving industries.
- Work alongside an experienced team on a cutting-edge product.
- Contribute to open source as part of your role.
What We Look For:
- 8+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack engineering roles focused on product applications.
- Proficiency in building complex React applications or similar frontend frameworks.
- Experience with profiling and performance optimization of frontend applications.
- A passion for building technical tools with engineers as primary users.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with Electron-based desktop applications.
- Background in 2D or 3D visualization.
- Experience in the robotics or autonomous vehicle (AV) industry.
