Job Overview
Join INTERSPORT Deutschland e.G., a leading company in the sports retail industry, as a Senior Full-stack Developer. This role is pivotal in leading the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our e-commerce platform, with a strong focus on backend development using Kotlin and Ktor framework.
Responsibilities
- Lead Development: Spearhead the development of our e-commerce platform, focusing on backend functionalities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
- Advanced Expertise: Apply your advanced expertise in Kotlin and backend development, utilizing frameworks such as Ktor.
- Data Management: Utilize streams and functional programming techniques to manage data and system processes efficiently.
- Test-Driven Development: Engage in test-driven development to ensure robust, reliable software solutions.
- Frontend Development: Contribute to frontend development, preferably with knowledge in React or Preact.
- System Architecture: Influence system architecture and design discussions, driving technological growth with a senior perspective.
Qualifications
- Mandatory German Residence: Applicants must reside in Germany.
- Experience: At least 4 years of proven experience as a Full-stack Developer, focusing on backend development.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical design skills with a senior-level understanding of software development.
- Programming Skills: Medium to advanced proficiency in Kotlin, with a good grasp of streams and functional programming.
- Cloud Services: Proven experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Google Cloud).
- Database Skills: Hands-on experience with SQL databases.
- Design Patterns: Knowledge of software design patterns like Microservices, Self-Contained Systems, and Domain-Driven Design.
- Problem-solving Abilities: Exceptional problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as good German skills.
