Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Java)

Job Overview

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Zalando, you will be part of the Connected Network team, which is responsible for developing Europe's leading logistics platform under the ZEOS Logistics brand. You will work on designing technical solutions for Partner Onboarding, Partner Data Management, and Partner Support & Communication. Your role will involve creating services used internally, by partners, and by our web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and Deploy: You will design, develop, deploy, operate, and improve software solutions that directly impact our daily business with partners.
• API and Integration: Discuss and design APIs and integrated solutions based on our microservices architecture.
• Ownership and Innovation: Own your code and decide on the technologies and tools to deliver and operate large-scale applications on AWS.
• Agile Environment: Work in an agile environment, taking ownership of the entire development cycle from architecture design to testing, implementation, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Microservices and API Design: Deep understanding of microservice architecture, REST services, and API design.
• Java Expertise: Highly skilled in Java development with experience in frameworks like Spring Boot, Jackson, and Gradle.
• Frontend Technologies: Experience with JavaScript (ES6/ES2015), React, TypeScript, Webpack, CSS/HTML.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience deploying and operating applications in a cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Database Knowledge: Good understanding of PostgreSQL and cloud architectures/platforms.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
