Vouch Insurance is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Insurance Distribution team. This team is dedicated to building innovative technology solutions that streamline the insurance process for our clients. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leading large projects, influencing architectural decisions, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Design and Implementation: You will lead the design and implementation of large-scale features within our products, ensuring they align with our business objectives.
• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand insurance workflows and develop scalable, flexible solutions.
• Maintain Engineering Standards: Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain and enforce consistent engineering standards, best practices, and design patterns.
• Mentor Team Members: Provide constructive feedback to team members through code reviews, technical specifications, and pair programming sessions.

Required Skills and Experience

• 6+ Years of Development Experience: Proven experience in software development, particularly in architecting and delivering high-quality, reusable systems and applications.
• Full-Stack Engineering: Experience writing production-level code as a full-stack engineer in TypeScript. Experience with Ruby is a plus.
• Database Expertise: Proficiency in Postgres or another transactional, relational database system, with the ability to design schemas.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with engineers, designers, product managers, executives, and other stakeholders.
• Software Engineering Best Practices: Understanding of concepts such as testing practices, code reviews, and feature flags.

Tools & Technologies

• Languages & Frameworks: TypeScript, Ruby, React, GraphQL, NestJs, Prisma
• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda, SQS, ECS, etc), Docker, CircleCI
• Collaboration Tools: GitHub, Figma, Atlassian Stack (Jira, Confluence, OpsGenie)

Interview Process

• Initial Phone Call: 30-minute call with our recruiting team.
• Zoom Interview: 60-minute interview with the hiring manager.
• Technical Screen: Assessment of your technical skills.
• Team Meetings: 60-minute 1:1 Zoom meetings with 3 team members.

Salary Range

The salary range for this role is €175,000 to €190,000 per year. Our compensation package includes stock options, allowing you to become an owner in the company.
