Job Overview
Appfire is seeking a Technical Engineering Leader to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for someone who has experience in mentoring and managing engineers, enjoys being hands-on, and is eager to continue growing their software development skills. You will be part of the team behind Agile Poker for Jira & Planning Poker, apps that facilitate team estimation processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a Team: Manage a team of up to 8 experienced professionals, focusing on delivering the greatest customer value. Responsibilities include mentoring, performance, and salary reviews.
- Collaborate: Work closely with Product Managers and UX Designers to shape the product’s future and minimize time to market for every product increment.
- Hands-on Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable applications using React, Vue.js, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Google Cloud Platform services.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the highest quality of the product, code, and supporting processes. Teach the team through code reviews and improve test coverage.
- Technical Ownership: Take ownership of technical improvements, including refactoring and minimizing technical debt.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in delivering complex software development projects and 2+ years in leading development teams using Agile principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks and back-end platforms. Experience with cloud architectures (GCP, AWS, or Azure) is essential.
- Problem Solving: Strong engineering approach to solving problems with a good understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with a command of English at level B2 or higher.
- Database Knowledge: Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL databases is a plus.
