About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and extending our borrower-facing digital experiences, underwriting engine, and third-party API web services. You will collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and fellow engineers to make strategic decisions and lead projects that will help millions of Americans outsmart debt.

Key Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team to build a modern full stack B2C loan origination system, augmenting and extending our existing technology platform.
• Write code, define configuration management, and build declarative automation across AWS serverless infrastructure, Salesforce core automation, and Snowflake data infrastructure.
• Review code contributions across the team and suggest improvements and optimizations.
• Collaborate with in-house test automation teams to ensure quality automation.
• Work with Product Managers and Designers to translate business and UI requirements into technical specifications.
• Utilize industry best practices and methodologies for software delivery lifecycle to ensure predictable and sustainable delivery models.
• Mentor and coach team members, and improve our software development lifecycle and other engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on software development and architecture experience on B2C products.
• Proven track record of overseeing product iterations from ideation to release.
• Expertise as a full stack developer using object-oriented programming languages, ideally TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Expertise with React or React-based frameworks like Next and Remix.
• Fluent in CI/CD and version control, particularly with GitHub.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Playwright and Jest.
• Open to exploring and learning Salesforce development for employee-facing tool use cases.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in the financial lending industry.
• Previous experience as a senior developer, team lead, or above.
• Experience with Salesforce development.
• Comfort with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code toolkits.
• Experience building applications integrated with and deployed on AWS services.
• Experience building data models for data lakehouses built on Snowflake.

Location

This position is remote, but candidates must be able to attend meetings during EST/CST business hours and be willing to travel to NYC periodically (e.g., 1-2 times a year).
