Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to join our team focused on AI-driven mission technologies. You will be part of the Electronics & SW-Development department, providing cross-sectional development services at the system, hardware, and software levels. Your role will involve developing software for manned and unmanned aerial vehicles and IT development infrastructure, supporting product developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop product components for platform-independent mission systems, focusing on networked mission management solutions and unmanned aerial vehicle control.
• Collaborate with product management, system development, and software development within the project team.
• Lead and independently execute software development tasks.
• Plan and document software development efforts, ensuring adherence to software development processes.
• Define and review software requirements and develop software sub-architectures.
• Mentor and share knowledge with team members.
• Create software designs and associated documentation.
• Ensure software verification is conducted.
• Provide technical sales support during the initiative and proposal phases.
• Ensure compliance with necessary standards and norms.
• Independently execute software development tasks within time, cost, and quality constraints.

Candidate Profile

• Completed university degree in a technical or scientific field or equivalent.
• Several years of relevant experience in software development.
• Fullstack experience in both traditional application development under Linux, Windows, and web development (backend/frontend) is desirable.
• Proficiency in compiled and interpreted languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript/TS, and Python.
• Knowledge/experience with build, test frameworks, and packaging systems.
• Experience with common shell languages (Bash, Tcsh, Windows Batch, Windows Powershell).
• Knowledge of Linux-based operating system architecture (systemd, networking, udev, Device-Driver).
• Experience with architecture standards and best practices, such as design patterns.
• Nice to have: knowledge in network programming (native & web-based), experience with geodata and video processing, practical knowledge in virtualization (VM, Container), and version control systems Git and Subversion.
• Analytical and conceptual thinking skills, strong customer and service orientation, and communication skills.
• Excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
