About Us
The dpa-IT Services GmbH is a subsidiary of the Deutsche Presse-Agentur GmbH (dpa) and provides internal IT services for the entire dpa group worldwide. Our core area in software development involves designing production-critical infrastructure. We work with server-based systems, client/server applications, and cloud technologies, focusing on architecture design, conception, and implementation.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Fullstack Developer with a backend focus, you will:
- Work on the architecture and implementation of various components of our planning system.
- Manage applications from code to production on on-premise hosts and AWS.
- Develop solutions using Java, Wildfly, Hibernate, Oracle DB, and Git/Gitlab.
- Drive the technical redevelopment of existing systems and work on migrating to new technologies and the AWS cloud.
- Potentially contribute to frontend development using Vue 3.
- Maintain and develop components for continuous deployment and system monitoring.
- Share your expertise on current technical solutions and best practices.
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience in software development, particularly with Java, Node.js, Vue.js 3, TypeScript, SQL, and AWS technologies.
- Interest in modern software development and building modular backends for web applications.
- Fluent in German (C1 level) and proficient in English.
- Enjoy working in small, agile teams and actively contributing your experience.
- Passionate about maintaining and advancing existing products with new features.
