The Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer with expertise in both backend and frontend development to join our dynamic team working on our US product suite. As a Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the backend services and frontend components of our products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

Responsibilities

• Address and resolve backend and frontend incidents promptly to ensure minimal disruption to services.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to contribute to the design of new features, providing technical insights and feasibility assessments.
• Translate functional requirements for new features into code with efficiency and simplicity.
• Maintain the stability and scalability of the application to support current operations and future growth.
• Implement unit and functional tests for existing and upcoming developments.
• Follow and promote best practices and coding standards to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Technical Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java for backend development and JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience with the Spring framework for backend development and React framework for frontend development.
• Strong understanding of API and system design principles, with a focus on secure coding practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and GitLab CI for automated build, test, and deployment.

Business Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer or similar role.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with product management, design, and other engineering teams.
• Comfort working with international teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative to solve problems with minimal direction.
• Adaptability to evolving requirements and priorities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Haves

• Understanding or experience with electronic health/medical records, pharmacy management systems, clinical decision support, electronic prescribing, pharmacy benefit managers, and/or health data exchanges.
• Spoken French is a bonus.
• Experience supporting customer success and implementation teams.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.

Logistics

This is a full-time, remote position that can be performed from anywhere within the United States, Columbia, Argentina, or Mexico. The standard working hours for this role are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Flexibility is required to support blocking incidents that may occur between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
