About the Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Mapbox, you will be part of the NavSDK team, focusing on developing and implementing cutting-edge models for our MapGPT product. This role involves evaluating and implementing models for both cloud-based and on-device applications, ensuring optimal performance, latency, and privacy. You will integrate these models into MapGPT, enhancing its ability to engage in actionable natural conversations.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and implement models for cloud-based and on-device applications.
- Develop and optimize ML-based recommendation systems.
- Help design, develop, and manage our MLOps pipeline.
- Contribute to the improvement of Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) systems.
- Collaborate with other teams to align machine learning features with user needs and industry standards.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of industry engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience in machine learning, focusing on NLP and transformer models.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Experience with MLOps and deploying ML models in production environments hosted on AWS.
