Join Our Marketing Technology Team
Airbnb is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our Marketing Technology team. This team is dedicated to building a best-in-class platform and measurement capabilities to enable marketing and merchandising at Airbnb. We focus on creating products that are used by stakeholders across the company, including Marketing, Guest Experience, Host, and Policy teams.
The Role
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing personalized customer experiences through AI/ML. Your work will involve:
- Developing and improving machine learning models for various Airbnb use cases.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for business impact.
- Building and operating machine learning models and pipelines at scale.
- Leveraging both third-party and in-house machine learning tools to develop high-performing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with large-scale structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
- Develop and productionize machine learning models for both batch and real-time use cases.
- Drive engineering decisions and quantify the impact of machine learning models.
Your Expertise
- 5+ years of industry experience in applied machine learning with a BS/Masters or 2+ years with a PhD.
- Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, Java, or C++.
- Deep understanding of machine learning best practices and algorithms.
- Experience in building and productionizing machine learning models.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with advanced machine learning techniques, including reinforcement learning and deep learning.
Location
This position is Remote Eligible within the United States. Occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites may be required.

Compensation
- Salary Range: $185,000—$223,000 USD
- Additional Benefits: Bonus, equity, and employee travel credits.
