As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will be at the forefront of this revolution, helping to automate 99% of the toil in software engineering with our code understanding and AI tools.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced full-stack ML engineer to join our newly formed machine learning team. This team is dedicated to creating the most powerful coding assistant in the world. You will leverage Sourcegraph’s rich code intelligence data and powerful code search platform to develop and deploy large-scale ML models in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct R&D to push the boundaries of AI as an individual contributor on our ML team.
- Utilize Sourcegraph’s Code Intelligence Platform to develop a coding assistant that significantly enhances developer productivity.
- Within the first month, build relationships with peers, set up local development environments, and prototype new features.
- Within three months, contribute to feature computation, storage, monitoring, and analysis systems for our Cody LLM stack.
- Within six months, own key components of the assistant, design and build scalable ML systems, and drive the technical vision.
About You
- You have 5-8 years of industry experience as a backend-focused ML engineer.
- You have experience in formulating ML solutions, developing data orchestration pipelines, and deploying ML models to production.
- You are passionate about leveraging Sourcegraph’s code intelligence to leapfrog competitors.
- Your working hours overlap with 8am-4pm PT for at least 20 hours per week.
