About the Role
As a Senior Product Engineer at Causal, you will:
- Understand the Product and Customer Needs: Dive deep into the product and understand the needs of our customers to deliver exceptional solutions.
- Translate Requirements into Code: Convert functional requirements into maintainable, well-tested, and performant code.
- Set Up Engineering Processes: Help establish processes that ensure the long-term success of Causal's engineering team.
- Influence Product Direction: Play a crucial role in setting the direction of Causal's product, as well as the company and culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain our spreadsheet-esque frontend interface, tackling UI/UX challenges to support complex functionality while ensuring high performance.
- Enhance our dashboarding and data visualization capabilities, enabling users to create beautiful charts and tables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product specifications and deploy features to production.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 2+ years of software engineering experience building complex products, preferably at a Series A - D startup.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in our frontend tech stack, including React, Redux, Apollo, and TypeScript.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another quantitative field.
- Attributes: Ability to write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance, and the flexibility to ship quickly when needed.
